Surviving the End of the Semester
It's the end of the semester and the whole campus is abuzz with holiday spirit and the thoughts of going home. However, there is an obstacle in the way…finals.
During the week leading up to the dreaded finals, there is mass panic to finish papers, grab the in-class participation points, and make the most memorable group presentation ever. Finals tend to be a stressful time for most students, but there are ways to relax during finals and still do well on them!
Do NOT Procrastinate
Crack down on what needs to get done.
Take advantage of study days before finals.
Leave the socializing, TV watching and extracurricular activities until your assignments are completed.
Participate in Study Groups
Study with people who are in your class —their information and notes may be different than yours.
Ask questions about material you're unsure about or don't understand.
Get enough good quality rest.
Take exercise breaks — you'll feel less stressed and more energized.
Eat healthy—lots of whole grains, fruit, vegetables and water.
Avoid doing a caffeine and sugar overload.
